Waiting for the experience
Hi All,
I became aware of the e-cigs just a couple of days ago, and I was excited to see something that looks promising as a healthier alternative.
Today I went to pick up cigarettes at the store. Currently I am visiting in NY State and the taxes hiked the price up over a dollar for my brand to almost 7 dollars a pack. I immediately came home and put in an order for the njoy. With a money back trial I feel I have nothing to lose if I am not happy, and a lot to save if this works for me. Between cigarettes and gas
I want to thank you all for sharing your experiences and information.
I typically use ultra-lights, so I did order the lights.
My other half works for the TSA, and he is curious as well.
I work a lot on the computer (from home) and I can not smoke inside or around the equipment - so this might extend my time sitting in one place, which would be a good thing.

I’m actually looking at vintage cigarette cases on ebay right now. Wondering what the device will fit in. I’m not sure of the thickness/length when the unit is taken apart.
Some of the vintage cases seem to be top loaders. Does anyone have a case or do you just chuck it in your pocket?
Depending on how things go - I think special cases for these could be a nice touch.|||I wouldn’t go ordering cases just yet. See how you like it first.
To be honest, at first, I was fairly disappointed. The smoke tasted funny to me, and I didn’t get the initial, intense nic hit I was looking for. I’ve had my NJoy for exactly a week now though, and it is seriously growing on me. I actually enjoy the taste of the smoke now, and the more gradual nicotine calm I get from smoking it is just fine too.
I’m not trying to be a downer or anything; I really think e-smoking is a great thing. I just wouldn’t want your expectations to be so far off that you end up ditching the whole thing prematurely.|||Thanks UM,
I was careful to go over this forum, and realize it may be a bit different. For me, I like the feel of something in my hand, and the physical aspects of smoking - not just the nicotine.
I’m a bit crafty, and will admit I’ll light a cigarette - put it down - and forget about it and next thing I know it is nearly burned out. Other times if I’m relaxing in the evening with a cocktail I’ll smoke a bit more.
I think this will be something I can do - but I think it won’t be so easy for him. I’m banking on something happening here. Whenever he runs out of cigarettes he goes for mine. He’s a marlboro man. He takes the filter off of my deluxe ultra light 100’s (and mine cost more). If I don’t have any, he may be more inclined to try what ever I have around. It is a sneaky ploy :twisted:||| |||I will probably put my experience on video (reluctantly). If all goes well I’ll be looking to exchange video with others and promote.
I noticed a holder in another thread that looked like lucite. Wondering where that came from and if it is for e-cigs.
Oh, and when I mentioned cases I meant something to carry mine in - and again - if all was well and I like this I would design something.
I hate when things are incomplete. I realize the specs would be different for the different devices.|||I think electronic cigs need a style update too. The same marbled plastics that are used in high end fountain pens would be a nice touch. Although, the black NJoy is nice looking. Just rather plain and understated.
As for actually smoking the thing - the others are right. You do need to give yourself about a week to get used to it.
There is a subtle difference between how one puffs on a cig and how one drags on an e-cig. At first the technique may elude you Once you do get used to it - you wont want to go back. Smoke just feels harsh after the vapor. Hot and dry and tastes terrible.||| I opted for the white with the thought I could possibly dress it up a bit - but I did like the other colors.
For special events, I would treat myself to nat shermans fantasia lights - which have gold filters and come in pink, red, blue, green and yellow - it was just fun. I like them but they are even more expensive - and were too strong for me.Thanks for the explanations everyone. I was misunderstanding the PG thing - but it’s clearer now.
