You can't stop people from smoking, but you can discourage them with education, ads, and taxes, which are very effective at making cigarettes too expensive for teens.

In my opinion, the best way to sto ppeople from dying of lung cancer is to replace cigarettes with e cigarettes, which contain no tobacco but provide nicotine.

As to why, well, people start smoking out of curiosity, find once they've gotten the hang of it that it's a pleasurable drug, and then get addicted and feel bad when they can't smoke.

I really want to quit smoking and I have tried everything… almost. Many of my friends have had success quitting with Chantix, a prescription that they got from their doctor. Here's the problem, my doctor doesn't know I smoke and I'm afraid to tell her to ask for the prescription because she is a really close family friend.

Are there any other ways to get it?

Go to another GP, any doctor can issue a prescription.

But you know whats more effective than Champix. Try using this new product called the Electronic Cigarette.

It's a electronic device that imitates a real cigarette but mitigates the risk. All it delivers in nicotine, so its not a tobacco product. It even releases a "smoke like" vapour. It's not smoke because it doesn't burn anything.

Hard to explain in words, you gotta have to preview it on the net. Search electronic cigarette. I bought mine on EBAY. It's kept me off smokes since the new year. It's like a miracle cure.

I am pregnant, I quit smoking cold turkey, But now strugling so much Im starting to get gittery and stressing over it. I am also getting depressed and i think it might have something to do with me not smoking, crazy cravings. did well at first but not so much anymore. Isnt 5 and lower better then being stressed over that and other things?

Hey Guys …

All these manufacturers have "Tobacco" flavored cartridges, now, where do they get the flavoring for those cartridges?

More importantly, where do they get flavors that taste like that of Premium Brand smokes? Is it all just chemicals mixed in a lab or do they literally take tobacco extracts and make themselves.

I have scoured the internet for Liquid Flavors/Extracts of Tobacco, and this is the only thing I have stumbled upon …

I would love to find a source of Tobacco Flavoring … Mix it with some PG, and have a grand ole time …

Spirulina has been around a long time. Don't smoke it. It's not tobacco.

To get flavor, something has absorb the essence of a substance. Often that something is oil, but that won't do for us. Water gets some nicotine, but very little flavor seems to me. So what I'm getting ready to do is cook some pipe tobacco in vegetable glycerine. My hope is the glycerine will absorb both the tobacco flavor and the nicotine. I'll post back on how it works out. In the past, I've "cooked" the tobacco covered in water. This time, I'll cover only with glycerine.

After that, I plan to stick a vanilla bean in a bottle of glycerine and just leave it there. Instant vanilla flavored glycerine for vaporizing.

Good for you. If you struggle cold turkey, i suggest you try this nicotine delivery product called the electronic cigarette.

If you haven't heard of it, its not a tobacco product. It does not carry the harmful chemicals and carcinogens that traditional cigarettes have. You do not light it up so theres no carbon monoxide. You can smoke it anywhere as there's no risk of passive smoking or unpleasant odours.

It produces "smoke" in the form of vapour which replicates the look and feel of smoking. In fact, it does not differ to nicotine replacement patches. The main components is water and nicotine, so it doesnt cause cancer.

I got mine on ebay, you just buy the starter kit and then change the cartridges for $2 each. Have a look, it might help you

you can try e-cigarette. it's not as harmful as a normal. Less carcinogenic chemicals. The nicotine is vaporized into a smoke like substance and you can inhale and exhale like regular cigarettes. There's no second hand smoke. Most people use this to get off of smoking. Nicotine is still bad, but I guess if you choose to smoke, it's much better.

Can anyone please offer me advice on how I can help him? He always says "okay.. I'll try.." and then he can't help but smoke even more. So, that whole, "I'm going to give up smoking on THIS day" won't work for him. ^_^

He smokes about 20 cigarattes a day.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me help him quit. Right now, I said to only smoke every 2 hours. He usually smokes every hour.

Try the electronic cigarette. It worked for me.

It's like a nicotine delivery device. Its got no tobacco but simulates a real cigarette. He can use it to immediately get off tobacco (the cause of cancer) and reduce his nicotine intake like many other nicotine replacement therapies and then at the end he can quit his habit last

Its new and a much much easier to quit.

Trust me, this will help your Dad. I've got weak willpower but i quit with ease. And im not lying.

I was smoking Rothmans cigarettes six months ago but then some friends told me I try Davidoff cigarettes which have lesser MGs of Tar, Nicotine and CO. After trying to stick to it considering that these cigarettes will actually lessen health risks, I didn't like the taste and changed to Marlboro with same contents.

I understand that the cigarette box says SMOKING TOBACCO IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH, so my question is does lesser Tar, Nicotine, and CO make these cigarettes a little bit better than others or is there no difference between cigarettes with less or high qty of these because at the end what you do is smoke tobacco.

I am trying to quit and I will quit soon (i.e., a year from now) but I just wanted to know if ONE mg cigarettes are any better than others???

Hope someone answers me.

Yeah, in a way lower tar is better so yes, but I think the real question is what are all the other additives they are putting in. Some cigarettes have like 50 known carcinogens in them, and nicotine paralyzes your cells that fight new cancer cells, so it is a bad combo. I'd think a low tar all natural cigarette would be the safest (but still not safe, duh.) If you want to quit you should check out www.njoy.com and www.crown7.com… they make e-cigarettes (a totally new invention) that make heated water vapor with nicotine and flavor. anyways, it is supposed to be safer than smoking, but is still like smoking. I quit smoking 6 months ago with an njoy cigarette. It doesn't taste super great, but it wasn't awful either. I smoked non-nicotine cartridges and after a few weeks just got tired of it. anyways it rocked!! So try it!!

i saw a bunch of commercials on youtube for this european product, RUYAN that is nicotine that is vapourized and smoked, but isnt "as harmful" im not a smoker so idc, but i really want to find a way to use this for weed lol

No. The electronic cigarette uses elements that are very different - and there is no actual smoke or fire.

Currently it contains nicotine, water, flavor (of tobacco) and propolyene glycol. PG is the stuff found in smoke machines that gives the electric cigarette the appearance of smoke.

The only way you could smoke THC with an e-cigarette would be to have it extracted from the weed, and put into the cartridge the same way nicotine it put into the cartridge.

It is a gel like substance where the ingredients are combined, and the electronic cigarette is more of a vaporizer. But it does heat up so it feels like real smoking.
