Question about e-liquid
Hi everyone, good to finally join! I wanted to know what your experiences are with e-liquid and NON e-cig electronic cigs. I have a smartfixx mini and they don’t offer empty cartridges for e-liquid, so would I still have to buy their cartridges and drip liquid in them? Seems like the costs could add up quick buying both. Smartfixx cartridges dont last nearly as long as they claim (I only hit it a few times at a time and still go through like 2 and a half a day, they claim 5 cartridges=1 carton). Is it worth it to buy the liquid? Also, anyone know what shipping is from e-cig to the US is, and would I need the syringe? Thanks in advance!|||First off, shipping is outrageous from China. To get a shipment in a week or so is $26 at the cheapest. Take the slow route for about $9 and it could take up to two months to get your order. Here’s the ticket if you’re in the U.S.: There’s a U.S. reseller on eBay for E-Cig liquids. Type in "smoke juice" and his site will come up for you. The prices are higher than E-Cig, but not by all that much, and you’ll save on shipping costs and possible HASSLES from Customs (believe me, I know HASSLES).
You’ll find most parts for e-smoking products are interchangeable, leading us to believe there are only a few factories of little elves producing these things which are then sold by everyone else under a specific brand name. I’m sure you can find cartridges for your cig somewhere other than the expensive original source.
I use e-liquid all the time. Just got the sample pack of all flavors, and am most impressed. In the past, I’d used tobacco flavors. Now I find the others are more interesting, but flue-cured tobacco is still the best base liquid, IMO. My newest order is for numerous 4ml bottles (the smallest) in flavors I can mix - coffee, cream, vanilla, flue-cured, etc. See the post from our good doctor for recipes.
With the mini cig, BTW, I just let a drop slide down into the cartridge. Periodically, I’ll remove the cartridge with a straightened paper clip, and soak it all around.
Final edit: I have the syringe but use it only for empty cores for the e-pipe I own. Those are BIG. For smaller cartridges, dripping to refill is fine. I ordered lots of cores, rather than cartridges, and save money that way. I own a cig, cigar and pipe.|||Thanks for the thorough response TB! Looking on ebay real quick, I can only find a couple of sellers for e-liquid with not much variety. Is there a particular seller you recommend? Also, is a core the emty cartridge? I’d much prefer to buy those than the prefilled ones. Can I get those on ebay too? I know the ones that E-cig sells are NOT compatable with my e-cig, the are pretty much completely different. Mine are shaped like this:

Thanks again my friend!|||My mini cig is like your number 1 photo. For it, I simply drip a drop down the side of the cartridge most of the time. You can push up that center part with its wool inside the cartridge, using a straightened paper clip stuck through the hole on the mouthpiece. Once you have it to the top, you can drip lots of liquid around it.
Cores are empty cartridges, but I use mostly my e-cigar and e-pipe, so I’m sorry this probably won’t apply to your cig. I’ve not seen replacement cores for these cigs. I buy cigar and pipes cores from E-Cig, then inject them with 24m liquid.
You’re right about limited flavors from eBay sellers. Only E-Cig and Freesmoke seem to offer a great variety (28 for E-Cig and 30 for Freesmoke).
