Kissbox Honest opinions please!

Posted in General E-Smoking Discussion by atomizer on the November 3rd, 2008

Hi All,

I’m considering getting a classic but I have a few caveats about it, so any opinions from owners would be welcome.

1: It is fiendishly expensive, is it really worth three times as much as a pen style?

2: For all it’s cost I still seem to read about failures, is it reliable?

3: Whats the life like?|||1: Your call. With the manual switch it is more reliable and produces more vapor than a generic RN4072 or DSE-801 penstyle. (But, with the auto switch, it produces less than a generic, and has a long auto-cutoff.) The batteries last longer. It has a much easier draw. Many people think they can taste better with it than others. The USB cable is very useful. ANd don’t forget it has a 6 month warranty. All in all, I definitly think it’s better but enough better to be worth it? That’s your call.

2: A good unit is extremely reliable, one of the most reliable e-cigs on the e-market, imo. All brands have failures, and need replacements. The first few batches of KISSboxes had pretty bad bugs, but by batch 4 they had those worked out. These days thier part failure rate isn’t worse than anyone else’s. ANd when parts do go bad, their customer service takes care of it painlessly, and give you bonus cartridges to make up for it.

3: I had trouble doing a consistant puff count on them (they don’t have automatic 5 second cutoffs so my puff lengths were too inconsistant), so I don’t have hard numbers, but in general they last longer than a typical penstyle, around 8 hours instead of around 6. That’s with the manual switch.|||Hi lads. I only just got my classic. And I can honestly recommend it. The manual switch and the usb are great. I聮m getting lots of vapour with carts and . They may be a little expensive, but I think once you try one you will think its worth it. I personally don聮t think the batteries and the switches are that expensive. And as an added bonus the switch with the batteries is compatible with my diva atomizers. Vapour on demand is my idea of e smoking, and that聮s what you get. I聮m also getting as much vapour with the usb as with the batteries.Happy days.||| |||Says the man who has never owned one.

Pete, Trog always bashes the name brands, bashes all guarantees as rubbish, and usually bashes anyone who disagrees. Just thought you should know when you judge his opinion.

And, Trog, what’s happened is that the cheap rubbish, like e-cig.com, dealsextreme, and many of the e-bay stores (not all, Heavens Gift is good) have been seperated from the good generic sellers, like Pillbox and Jane. ALso, more good generic sellers have joined the game, like , Puresmoker, etc.

But it’s still true that some brands outperform the generic e-cigs, like Sedansa and . ANd still true that a warranty will save money on replacement costs over time.|||If you can put a manual switch on a generic that would be great. As for batteries , both mine for the were flat this morning because I forgot to charge them yesterday. So I just used the usb no problems. don’t know if you can get the usb for a generic? The cost for a classic is 10.95 euros a manual switch is 11.95 euros even with the postage on top thats not that much more than generic spares. You pay your money and you make your choice. And I’m very very pleased with my branded e cigs.|||Hi Pete.

I started esmoking with a generic RN4072 classic and thought it was pretty good. I didn’t see the point in paying a lot for a brand name. After reading some reviews I decided to see if I was missing something. I’m glad I did because I really like my , I think it’s a better vaping experience and I think that atomisers might be more durable, giving better vapour for longer. The USB batteries and manual switches are great additions.

You can compare the cost of different if you have a look at this thread - Value for money I miscalculated the guarantee period for on the first post so you have to read into the thread to get more accurate costings.|||and u leaford always bash me.. bless u.. he he

i now smoke my own design e cig dude.. it uses some generic components cos it has too.. i cant make atomizers..

but i have now given up on all of them.. brand name or otherwise.. my alternative and currently chosen option..

e cig e cigarette electronic smoking the screwdriver on eBay, also, Quitting Smoking, Health Care, Health Beauty (end time 09-Oct-08 01:00:56 BST)

and if u havnt twigged on yet leaford.. i bash e cigs as they currently exist in general.. not just the expensive brand names.. he he..

i simply find it easier to pay less (while finding out) for a product that isnt up to scratch than pay more.. pretty simple logic..

as for that "honest opinion".. the last place thats gonna come from is from a guy/gal thats already made up their mind and forked out the big bucks for a given product.. not many will be honest.. admitting they made the wrong choice dosnt come easy.. it usually works the other way.. he he he

trog|||Hay trog I want your screwdriver device, but I think the final price for that will be far greater than any branded e cig. LOL. I聮ve had two bids on it already with no luck, but I will keep trying. Does it come with a 1 or 5 year guarantee. LOL|||"as for that "honest opinion".. the last place thats gonna come from is from a guy/gal thats already made up their mind and forked out the big bucks for a given product.."

Are you implying that I am in some way being dishonest in order to sell products?

You’re the biased one here Trog, you don’t know what you’re talking about, you don’t have a . Not all Chinese products are cheap tat as you insist we believe. You may get cheap tat but that’s all you’re prepared to pay for. It costs you more in the long run and I’ll put bets on the fact that your vaping experience is not as good. Brand atomisers are nicer to use and probably more durable.

Please don’t call me a liar again, I don’t like it. You’re entitled to your opinion but so is everybody else. Your constant bias is tiring but not as bad as when you try to shut other people up.I have had my Classic for over a week now, and all I can say is that the product is superb. Tastes great, consistent performance and puts you in control. The customer service is also something I find outstanding, they really look after me so as long as that continues they will have my full confidence and business.i hold mine between thumb and first two fingers. my third finger is under the device on the switch.. a slight downward pressure from thumb and first two fingers works the switch..

the switch is light to press.. it comes easy after a few tries.. it weighs twice what a penstyle does and half what an e pipe does if thats any help..

its perhaps more of a "man" thing than a "lady" thing.. dunno..

trog

ps.. dont hold a normal e cig like i do a real cig.. i can see why i u might think its top heavy..sorry this is frivolous, but it made me laugh…

i sit well back from the computer…and i thought coinmasters avatar was Jimmy Saville until i got closer to the screen…

UK guys and gals will know who i mean…
