making hard candy w/ nic juice?
I have a question for all those experimenters in here. Has anyone ever made or thought about making hard candy and mixing in some nic juice so that you get the equivanent of a nic lozenge? I’m thinking that since bickford’s flavors can be used to flovor hard candy and its mostly PG and nic juice is made with PG that it should work if you could figure out the right amount of nic juice to add to the recipe. I can just see it now, my very own nic laced coffee nips|||Jason: Yes, thought of it. Never did it. Home candy-making is a task.
Your most basic problem is how much e-liquid to use. I did some tests and got 15 drops per 1ml. Each 1ml of medium strength liquid is 16mg of nicotine. So each drop of liquid is about 1mg of nicotine. That’s a bit less than a normal cigarette contains, but 4 times as weak as Big Pharma’s 4mg products.
If I were experimenting, however, I would ere on the low side to begin with. Try to provide a consistant one drop per candy piece. If that does nothing for you, move to two drops. Be very careful exceeding the 4mg limit that the FDA imposed on Big Pharma products. We’re not privy to the reasons for that limit.
Also note that you will be ingesting nicotine via mouth and stomach — not as efficient as inhaling it. Don’t be surprised if you get hiccups, burping and reflux. That’s your digestive system’s way of saying "Hey, knock off that crap you’re eating."
